At An Honest Room, it is our goal to be a destination shop known for its great style and great service. With that in mind, should you wish to return or exchange an item, we’re here to help!
2024 Holiday Return Policy
An Honest Room will accept holiday returns until Saturday, January 25th, 2025. The original or gift receipt must be provided and all returns must be inspected by An Honest Room staff and found to be in the same condition in which they were sold. They must also be in the original packaging.
In-Store Purchases
An Honest Room is happy to offer a refund or exchange of most items within 7 business days of purchase with the original receipt and in the condition in which they were sold. Please see exceptions below. If 7 business days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. The item being refunded or exchanged must be inspected by An Honest Room staff and found to be in the same condition in which it was sold. It must also be in the original packaging.
Non-Returnable Items
Online Purchases
An Honest Room is happy to accept the return of your online purchase provided it is sent within 7 days of purchase, includes the original receipt and packaging, and found to be in the same condition in which it was sold.

Please carefully re-pack your item in the same manner it was received. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Abandoned Purchases
If you have purchased an item in-store or online and it has not been picked up within 60 days of purchase, the item will be restocked and the amount of your purchase forfeited. If you require more than 60 days to claim your purchase, please contact the store to make alternative arrangements.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. If this is not an option, then store credit will be issued or a gift card will be mailed to you.
Exchanges
If an item is to be exchanged and the same or similar item is not available, then a store credit or gift card will be issued. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
Sale Items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
We may apply a re-stocking fee, when applicable.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
